Open Cell
In the field of LCD panels, OC stands for Open Cell, which is a liquid crystal panel. This type of panel usually refers to a panel with only the outer layer of liquid crystal glass but no backlight. OC panels are usually used because of their low cost, so they are more common in some low-end monitors. In addition, OC panels mainly affect contrast and transmittance, as well as some viewing angles (such as the difference between IPS and VA), and at most affect the color gamut. Anti-reflective materials are added after consultation with panel manufacturers and also belong to the category of film materials.
