LCD modules use parallel ports (parallel bus, such as 4-bit/8-bit) and serial ports (SPI/I2C) for monochrome and low-resolution TFT LCDs.
High-resolution TFT LCDs typically use RGB/LVDS/MIPI.

Manufacturing Process of LCD Modules
LCD panel production:
LCD panel manufacturing = semiconductor processing + ITO (transparent conductive film) deposition + alignment + lamination + liquid injection + polarizer → obtaining a "bare panel with only image display function".
Driver IC binding:
There are three bonding methods:
1. COB (Chip on Board)
2. COG (Chip on Glass)
3. COF (Chip on Film)
Backlight packaging:
LED + light guide plate + reflective film + diffusion film + frame edging. Create a "surface light source module" with stable structure and uniform light emission.
Interface assembly: The "bridge" that leads the internal circuit of the LCD module to the external main control board includes pin headers, female headers, FPC, ZIF sockets, connectors, conversion boards, etc. The selection affects the ease of use and reliability.
